4th of March 2021 marks World Book Day's 24th year. Although things are a little different this year, there are still lots of ways to celebrate!
A full list of free resources is available on the World Book Day website, including audiobooks, activity sheets, discussion guides, and brand new 'Author Academy' learning videos.
You can also redeem your £1 voucher and purchase a range of book titles including - 'What The Ladybird Heard', 'Little Badman' and 'Luna Loves World Book Day'.
You can also take part in ‘Show Your Shares’ commencing every week during March on the World Book Day social media pages, where you can celebrate the joy of reading together and win prizes for the best story share.
World Book Day helps promote the love for reading, it was created by UNESCO on 23rd April 1995 as a worldwide celebration and it is now marked in over 100 countries around the globe!
As World Book Day founder, Baroness Gail Rebuck, recalls “We wanted to do something to reposition reading and our message is the same today as it was then – that reading is fun, relevant, accessible, exciting, and has the power to transform lives.”
