GROUNDHOG DAY: Bristol City lose again at Ashton Gate
Nigel Pearson is still searching for his first points at Ashton Gate following a 2-0 defeat against Rotherham United.
The Robins are now on a run of six straight league defeats at home, as goals from Michael Smith and Richard Wood saw the Millers leave with all three points.
City now haven’t won at Ashton Gate since a 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on the 26th of January.
The result leaves them 14th in the table, with no immediate threat of relegation but no hope of reaching the play-offs.
Pearson addressed his sides form at Ashton Gate post-match to BBC Radio Bristol: "It's a bit like groundhog day isn't it, in terms of our form at home and results.
“We knew it was going to be a tough game against a side who are physically very big and very direct as well.
"They know what they are and what I admire about them is they stick to they're about and in the first half we dealt with that exceptionally well and dominated what was a difficult game to dominate, but there's no accounting for individual mistakes.
“It remains a difficult situation to resolve. We need to start winning home games it's as simple as that."
