KILL THE BILL: PM condemns violence at third protest
The Prime Minister has condemned the violence that took place at Friday’s Kill the Bill protest.
Boris Johnson said the clashes that broke out were ‘disgraceful’ and pledged his support for the city and it’s police force.
The demonstration was largely peaceful. However, violence erupted as police attempted to disperse the crowd at around 10pm.
Any mass gatherings are currently illegal.
It is the third of such protest in Bristol in the space of week, with crowds gathering across the city in opposition to the police, crime, courts and sentencing bill, which could potentially impose restrictions on peaceful protests.
