FRESH START: Bristol City look to bounce back against Barnsley
Bristol City will play their first game since the sacking of Dean Holden when Barnsley visit Ashton Gate on Saturday.
Keith Downing and Paul Simpson have overseen training following Tuesday's defeat against Reading and the subsequent departure of Holden.
Downing joined the club as an assistant head coach in the summer and has highlighted the Robins attack as an area where they can improve:
"We’re all conscious we haven’t done enough going forward we haven’t threatened the opposition goal enough. We need to play with more positivity, aggression and intensity to try and get more end product. That’s the aim and the players are determined to do that.
We need to be more positive going forward so the emphasis is on being as positive as we can be, take the shackles off a bit and play without fear."
City are currently on a run of six matches without a win and haven't found the net in their last four games.
Jack from the BS3 Talk Podcast believes the sacking of Holden was inevitable and that it is now time for the Robins to try and climb back up the table and challenge for the play-off places.
