FLOATING HARBOUR: Virtual tours of Bristols beloved harbourside announced!
Underfall yard is a working boat yard that welcomes its visitors to discover Bristol's harbourside and now it's offering virtual tours to enjoy the sights at home.
The free virtual tours are for any age, especially those interested in history, boats and machinery!
The tours will enable you to explore the Victorian buildings situated on Bristol’s Harbourside and discover the elegant Georgian engineering that created the Floating Harbour and continues to perform an essential (and largely hidden) role in water management and flood prevention.
Children and adults will also enjoy watching the yard’s Victorian machines in action to see how things were done in the days before computers and 3D printing, and experience the heavy engineering that once powered Bristol Docks!
The tours begin on Wednesday 13th of January and end on Wednesday 24th of February.
